Be aware that this product requires assembly. It is a fairly straight forward process BUT the alignment on some of the assembly holes is a bit off and it requires some patience to get everything to fit correctly. That said, if you are at least somewhat handy you can work through the assembly issues in around 40 minutes or so. Once the unit is put together, it is a very solid and sturdy stand with no wobble to it. It folds for easy transport so setting it up and taking it down is instantaneous. I find it far superior to single guitar tripod stands in both stability and convenience. And the reasonable price point definitely makes this stand a good value.

Assembly was easy (don't tighten any of the nuts until all the screws are in place). Stand seems rock solid and folds nicely for transportation. Great stand. Just don't expect to stand more than 3 acoustic guitars unless you are very careful about taking them in and out. If you orient 2 acoustics face to face on the right side placing the necks in the the first two slots and two more acoustics face to face on the left in the last two slots, leaving the middle 3rd slot open, you CAN get 4 on the stand with reasonable clearances. In a pinch, you COULD put 5 acoustics on the stand but they are way too close together for frequent or easy access.

At a gig, I'd limit the stand to three acoustics. For everyday use at home, the limit is four. For infrequent use or storage, you can fit five. I'd think it would hold 5 electric guitars fine but acoustics are just too wide for the space allowed. If you need to frequently stand five guitars, consider the ProLine PLMS7 7 Guitar Folding Stand, Black or the Road Runner 7 Guitar Stand Flightcase, Black. If you need to stand five or more hard working acoustics, get two racks. I like the design. I'm buying a second rack for the rest of my instruments.

Bought my Jasmine S35 at a local music shop. I own a fine Larrivee acoustic as well as several other guitars. The action is adjustable, and I have set it just right - low action, no buzzing. The construction is remarkably flawless. It plays (action) very well, unlike the laborious and discouraging quality normally found in inexpensive instruments. Although it does not ring out like more expensive guitars with finer spruce tops, it has a unique tone for blues fingerpicking and a nice, even strumming sound too. It doesn't look cheap. this guitar is a steal at $100.

Smooth the the touch. Smooth to the ear.

Takamine's model designation for this is 'S35'. In my estimation, the 'S' must stand for 'solid', 'smooth', 'superb', 'special' or just plain 'sweet'.

This guitar seems to be perfect for a beginner or amateur/recreational player.

The construction and overall quality are very impressive. From the solid fit and finish to the easy to tune/maintain hardware - this guitar is top notch.

Looks-wise, the finish is darker than pictured and is matte not glossy. The finish will not show finger prints like a gloss-finished black bargain basement model. This is one good looking instrument that looks like it cost far more than it does. It features a warm, rich wood tone exterior.

The sound produced by the guitar is brilliant and warm. In terms of playing, the action doesn't seem to be too high as indicated in other reviews. I find this to be a very easy instrument to play and keep in tune.

This guitar will never be mistaken for a cheap guitar. Compared to other 'entry-level' offerings, this product is in a different class. This guitar has received several "wows" and more than one "beautiful" from friends and family.

Thanks to Takamine for producing a great product at an affordable price. It is encouraging to see that a true value can be had that allows just about anyone to put a quality musical instrument in their hands.

In shopping for guitars I checked out higher-priced models from all kinds of makers. To be sure, a higher-priced Takamine or Martin will impress your friends and make you the envy of your neighbors. But pound for pound, this is the best guitar that I have tried out.

If given the choice, I would purchase one again with no hesitation.

I have been using this guitar for about a year have posted pics also on amazon. I got it from geartree for 99.99 and I am glad that the guitar was so nice. Bass string and treble string 1-6 just sound so clear and seperated in this guitar. I'd suggest any beginner to go with this guitar. Even proffessionals can try too if they haven't tried it. worth

This is my third guitar. They have all been entry level instruments, and it seems as fast as I buy them I give them to my children. This one I will keep. This is by far the best guitar of the previous two, and thinking back the least expensive. I cannot believe how well-made this instrument is, with close attention to detail. There were no short-cuts taken when assembling this guitar, those small details that usually distinguish entry level instuments. I would recommend this guitar to anyone.

This is a nice beginner's guitar. The action is kind of high, so you will earn your calluses quickly. I bought mine from GearTree through Amazon, and it arrived quickly in great condition. However, consider buying directly from a vendor's website, because some offer free shipping when you buy directly. Then you can buy a decent case or a strap as well, and for the same price as shipping would have cost you. Also, get an inexpensive tuner as well - you will be playing the day it arrives!

D'Addario EJ16s work well on several of my guitars. They sound especially good on my Brazilian OM model. Punchy, warm, and the right mix of harmonics come together to work well for my mainly flatpick needs. "Light gauge with balls" I like to say. The life of this string set is average (about two weeks of steady play) but I prefer some of the "new string harmonics" to come through so changing often is a must for me. The price is right for this brand of strings. Highly recommended.

These strings from D'Addario are a personal favorite of mine. I love the EJ16 light gauge for their size and ease of use. I think the light gauge is a nice size that won't hurt your fingers, or put undue stress on your guitar. Not only that, but they sound great. Not too big or not too small! I have plenty of volume and drive for bluegrass. I love how they color code their strings on the "ball ends". To me this makes it much easier when changing strings. You don't have to worry about mixing up your strings. I've also had no problem with the fit; unlike some brands. Give these a try. I think you'll be satisfied.

I have played the Acoustic Guitar for eight years, maybe a little more than that. I started with standard Martin strings which I eventually found my hatred for. When I discovered these strings a few years back ago (most, if not all music stores I have visited have strung their Guitars with the D'Addario brand), I never looked back and have always used D'Addario. Only recently have I begun to use these Bronze Light sets, which I am completely infatuated with.

Most of what I play consist of finger style / classical songs, and these strings are quite easy to tap with. I've never had any problems, and the strings themselves come with color coded ball points to indicate which string is which (for a quick and easy string changing). If tapping/finger style isn't your bag, these strings should still satisfy your needs. The Guitarist "Tim Reynolds" uses these very same strings on his Martin Guitars, and I can't emphasize more on how amazing the bottom (thickest) string sounds, especially when palm muted.

If you do decide the buy these strings, I doubt you will be disappointed, but if you find it doesn't meet your needs then I have had the pleasure of playing on Elixir strings very recently, which you might check out instead. If I know anything about Guitars, I know that I'll be using D'Addario or Elixir strings from now on. I suggest you do the same.
